Sheku, Jess and Ben Reunited!

Wed 02 Sep 2026, 7:00pm - 8:15pm

St Martin’s Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, WC2N 4JJ

Join three of the UK’s biggest classical music stars as they get together, a decade on from their unforgettable first encounter.

Ten years ago, three extraordinary young musicians stepped onto the stage of the BBC Young Musician televised final: cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, saxophonist Jess Gillamand horn player Ben Goldscheider. All three unleashed thrilling musical fireworks, rousing such pride and excitement in the future of music-making.

Since that moment, all three have progressed to international stardom, becoming much-loved role-models, champions for their respective instruments, and advocates for music-making generally. This September, they reunite onstage in a newly-commissioned Triple Concerto by composer Gwilym Simcock at the BBC Proms. Ahead of that, we present an exclusive opportunity to meet this inspirational trio in person. Together in conversation, they will reflect on that remarkable night a decade ago, and their respective journeys since. They will discuss how the musical landscape has dramatically changed since, and share their passions and perspectives on the future of classical music in the UK. We invite you to take a ringside seat at what is sure to be a memorable occasion.
