Musicfest presents the Wales premiere of the opera of RPS Award-winning composer Mark-Anthony Turnage's The Railway Children, in a performance supported by the RPS Susan Bradshaw Composers’ Fund.

Premiered at Glyndebourne during the 2025 season, the opera is adapted from Edith Nesbit’s classic children’s book, with libretto by Rachael Hewer. This performance features the orchestra of Welsh National Opera conducted by MusicFest's Artistic Director, Iwan Teifion Davies.
