Tom Harrold to write IAMA/RPS Composer Commission

From IAMA's website: "Thank you to all those that donated and voted and especially to the Royal Philharmonic Society who celebrate their 200 anniversary and who were our principle collaborator -we wish you success for the next 200 ahead.
We have pleasure in announcing that the award of the IAMA Fanfare goes to Tom Harrold who got the popular vote. We reached 129% of target for donations for which we have to thank many but in particular three people: Bernhard Kerres, Intendant, Wiener Konzerthaus and especially, Bettina Mehne, Artistic Planner and Robert Gilder, Robert Gilder and Co who believed enough in the project to get delegates to dip into their pockets."
The commission will be premiered at IAMA Montreal 2013 on 6 November at the Montreal Maison Symphonique and repeated at the opening of the 24th IAMA International Conference on 10 April 2014 in London.
