Women Conductors: Manchester 2020 - CANCELLED

Mon 30 Mar 2020 - Tue 31 Mar 2020

Royal Northern College of Music, 124 Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9RD

Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we are sorry to announce that our Women Conductors course in partnership with the Royal Northern College of Music and Manchester Camerata has been cancelled. Participants have been notified by email; we very much hope to proceed with the two-day course at a later date.

We are pleased to present a new Women Conductors course, especially for music students in the North of England.

This specially-devised course will bring together a cohort of 8 participants for two focal moments – one in March and one in September – in Manchester, to work with acclaimed conductor Alice Farnham and professional musicians from the Manchester Camerata, the Hallé Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic.

The course is free and aimed at encouraging female music students – at undergraduate level or upper-6th form – to discover their capabilities as conductors, with a view to conducting becoming a central or component part of their future careers in music.

Applications for the course must be submitted by Monday 24 February. Please click here to find out more and apply.
